94AXXMots-clés : théorie du codage cryptographie Résumé : This volume contains articles representing the courses given at the 2005 RSME Santaló Summer School on "Recent Trends in Cryptography". The main goal of the Summer School was to present some of the recent mathematical methods used in cryptography and cryptanalysis. The School was oriented to graduate and doctoral students, as well as recent doctorates. The material is presented in an expository manner with many examples and references.
The topics in this volume cover some of the most interesting new developments in public key and symmetric key cryptography, such as pairing based cryptography and lattice based cryptanalysis.Note de contenu : références Recent trends in cryptography : UIMP-RSME Santaló Summer School, July 11-15, 2005, Universitad International Menéndez Pelayo, Santander, Spain [texte imprimé] / Ignacio LUENGO, Editeur scientifique . - American Mathematical Society : Madrid : Real Sociedad Matemática Española, cop. 2009 . - 141 p.. - (Contemporary mathematics, ISSN 0271-4132; 477) .

92C50Mots-clés : carcinogénèse biologie Résumé : Developmental biology and tumour growth are two important areas of current research where mathematics increasingly provides powerful new techniques and insights. The unfolding complexity of living structures from egg to embryo gives rise to a number of difficult quantitative problems that are ripe for mathematical models and analysis. Understanding this early development process involves the study of pattern formation, which mathematicians view through the lens of dynamical systems. This book addresses several issues in developmental biology, including Notch signalling pathway integration and mesenchymal compartment formation.Tumour growth is one of the primary challenges of cancer research. Its study requires interdisciplinary approaches involving the close collaboration of mathematicians, biologists and physicians. The summer school addressed angiogenesis, modelling issues arising in radiotherapy, and tumour growth viewed from the individual cell and the relation to a multiphase-fluid flow picture of that process. This book is suitable for researchers, graduate students, and advanced undergraduates interested in mathematical methods of developmental biology or tumour growth.
